Tips on how to maintain a healthy work-life balance for a fulfilling personal and professional life

How to Maintain a Healthy Work-Life Balance

In our society where dealing with the hustle and bustle of life has become a norm, many of us are forgetting the importance of maintaining work-life balance.  It is like we are running on autopilot, allowing everyone and anyone at work or at home to pull us into different directions without a clear personal boundary.  If we succumb to such demands, a 9-to-5 job can quickly extend to a 9-to-9, slowly but surely, we will end up losing grip of our own lives and living according to someone else’s agenda.  Besides burnouts, this imbalanced lifestyle will also impede our personal life and cause friction in relationships when they could have been managed more mindfully. Maintaining work-life balance is important for avoiding stress-related issues that could deteriorate one’s well-being too. It is about separating our personal and professional lives without allowing one to encroach upon the other. It is when we draw clear boundaries on what we will or will not do that we can finally take back control of our own lives. It is when we can maintain a work-life balance that we will find better health, higher productivity and greater zest for living. Maintaining Work-Life Balance There are many ways to maintain work-life balance, these can involve joining community groups, such as The QUEEN’s Council and QUEEN’s Council Facebook Group to learn from like-minded individuals who can provide nurturing support.  Taking on more empowerment and mindfulness-based practices can also provide alternative experiences to managing stress and achieving greater self-mastery. Some of these practices can include reflecting on our inner thoughts, beliefs that confine us or define us.  Whether we are allocating time for walks in nature, learning to ground and harmonize the body through sound, setting intentions, meditation, and even expanding one’s consciousness to tap into their own intuition for greater guidance. Using guided visualization, hypnotherapy and engaging the help of transformational coaching are also effective alternatives that can yield incredible results. Guided Visualization for Stress Reduction These techniques involve the practice of creating a detailed mental visualization of peaceful scenarios and allowing the soothing images to relax a person’s physical body and emotions. The purpose is to associate the peaceful visuals with the sense of relaxation, it also helps the practitioner to detach from fixating on random thoughts to cultivate stillness in the mind. Hypnotherapy for Positive Change Hypnotherapy has been gaining popularity as a choice of therapeutic treatment for improving performance, getting rid of addictions and even restoring one’s health. In fact, the potential of hypnotherapy is limitless due to its ability to create powerful change through the influence of the subconscious mind.   Transformational Coaching Transformational Coaching offers a direct and clear-cut approach to managing one’s work-life balance issue.  This form of coaching helps to dissect the issues at hand and provide healthy step-by-step strategies for managing self-care, setting personal boundaries, and finally achieving self-mastery.  Like what Dr. Brene Brown said, “I choose discomfort over resentment”, transformational coaching is about making the uncomfortable adjustment in our lives so that we can finally embrace our true potential. Acknowledging the Need for Help is the First Step to Work-Life Balance Truth be told, maintaining balance is probably the toughest challenge in our lives.  If there is too much work, our personal life with suffer, but if we spend too much time focusing on personal endeavors, our career may come to a halt. However, it is possible to have a successful professional career and fulfilling personal life, the crux of the matter is about understanding our priorities and managing personal boundaries so that we can optimize our time, effort and emotions.  The first step is to understand what you truly want, and not be shy about engaging the help of a coach, therapist or even community group to help you overcome the hurdles.  When you are willing to acknowledge the problems, the solutions will show up for you.

RECONNECTING WITH JOY AND IMAGINATION WITH ABIGAIL BRUCE- AN INTERVIEW WITH MYSTIC MAG

https://bit.ly/AbigailBruce I was recently asked to do a video interview, later transcribed by MysticMag.  I have been practicing more radical vulnerability in these last years as I’ve stepped out of my ‘spiritual closet’ to share what I have always known, lived, and experienced my entire life. A sense of connection and awareness in our expansiveness as souls in these human forms.  As a nurse practitioner, nurse, and one with a masters in science, I think the vulnerability lies because there is limited research to support this but indigenous peoples for millenium have known, my ancestors have known, I have known and understood this and the bridge between science, metapsychics, and and spirituality is strong now.  I welcome you to read this first of a kind interview and I thank you for your openness and curiosity as we together expand our consciousness.   With love, Abigail https://www.mysticmag.com/psychic-reading/interview-abigailbruce/

Embracing Energetic Clarity: A Path to Mindful Living

Need Clarity? Embrace Energetic Clarity (Path to Mindful Living)

Embracing Energetic Clarity: A Path to Mindful Living Introduction: In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to carry the weight of the past with us—accumulated experiences, emotions, and patterns that may cloud our present moment. This blog explores the profound significance of clearing the energetic residue from our past, allowing us to align with our inner selves and live with conscious, mindful intentions. Let’s delve into the importance of pattern interrupts, the art of grounding, and the wisdom of listening to our bodies and emotions. Clearing Energetic Baggage: Imagine carrying a heavy backpack filled with memories, traumas, and outdated beliefs. This energetic baggage can weigh us down and hinder our ability to fully engage with the present. Clearing this clutter involves acknowledging and releasing what no longer serves us. It’s a conscious decision to let go of attachments and create space for new possibilities. Grounding into the Present To align with our inner selves, it’s crucial to ground into the present moment. Our bodies and emotions provide a gateway to this alignment. Paying attention to our breath, bodily sensations, and emotions creates a bridge between the physical and energetic realms. Grounding allows us to be fully present, fostering a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us. Listening to Body and Emotions Our bodies and emotions are powerful messengers, constantly relaying valuable information. They act as a compass guiding us toward alignment or warning us when we veer off course. By tuning in and listening to these signals, we gain access to intuitive wisdom. This awareness becomes a foundation for conscious living, enabling us to make decisions aligned with our truest selves. Pattern Interrupts: Breaking the Loop Often, our minds get caught in unnecessary loops of worry and fear, repeating patterns that no longer serve us. Recognizing these loops is the first step to liberation. Implementing pattern interrupts involves consciously redirecting our thoughts and actions. This break in the repetitive cycle opens space for new perspectives and allows us to return to the present moment, where all the information and knowing we need resides. Living Intuitively with Conscious Mindful Intention As we clear energetic clutter, ground into the present, and interrupt unhelpful patterns, we pave the way for intuitive living. Intuition is a deep knowing that transcends logic—a connection to our inner wisdom. With conscious, mindful intention, we can navigate our day-to-day lives guided by this intuitive compass. Every decision becomes an opportunity to align with our truest selves and create a life infused with purpose and authenticity. Conclusion Embracing energetic clarity is a transformative journey toward mindful living. By clearing what has come before, grounding into the present, and embracing intuitive wisdom, we empower ourselves to live consciously and intentionally. Let us cultivate a harmonious relationship with our past, present, and future, recognizing that in each moment, we possess exactly what we need to navigate the beautiful tapestry of life.

Holistic Mind Body Wellness: Embrace the Dance of Life Curiosity

Dear explorers of life, Are you yearning to break free from the confines of your mind, to dissolve the fears that shackle you, and to quiet the ego that muffles the voice of your true self? You are not on this journey alone. My life’s work is to guide kindred spirits like you from the dizzying cycles of thought to the vast serenity of the heart. Our shared goal? To weave the essence of a more heart-centered, intentional existence into the fabric of everyday life. The Heart’s Voyage Through Curiosity and Play The odyssey towards a heart-centered existence is rich with self-discovery, and the compass that directs us is our innate curiosity. It’s about nurturing the childlike wonder within us, the playful spirit that approaches life not as a series of problems to be solved, but as a wondrous adventure to be experienced. As your compassionate navigator on this voyage, I encourage you to embrace curiosity and play as vital instruments in tuning into your heart’s melodies. These tools unlock the magic of the present, where true understanding and acceptance blossom. Rediscovering the World Through the Lens of Wonder The process of becoming is greatly amplified by curiosity. When we stay open, eager to learn and less judgmental, we allow ourselves to be as we truly are. It’s a liberating way to explore the world, where every encounter becomes a lesson, every challenge a game, and every setback a twist in the plot of our unique story. Play is not just an activity; it’s a state of being. It’s the freedom to express, experiment, and experience without the heavy cloak of seriousness that adulthood often imposes. When we play, we tap into the creative core of our being, the part that yearns for expression and joy. The Alchemy of Curiosity and Play in Transformation The journey of transformation is not a linear path but a dynamic dance, one where curiosity and play are the music that stirs our souls. They invite us to question, “What if?” and to imagine the boundless possibilities. They remind us that in the realm of the heart, there is no failure, only exploration and growth. In this space of playful inquiry, fears lose their grip and egos their weight. We find the courage to be vulnerable, to laugh at our stumbles, and to celebrate each step as a victory in its own right. Integrating the Soul’s Playful Mission Your soul’s mission is not a destination but a way of traveling. It’s about discovering your unique rhythm and dancing to it with all the joy and enthusiasm of a child at play. It’s about living with intention, guided by a heart that’s open, curious, and unafraid to love deeply. I invite you to join me in this sacred playground where the soul’s mission thrives on curiosity and manifests through the joy of play. Together, we’ll embark on the most rewarding of quests—to reclaim the freedom to simply be, to learn, and to love with the whole heart. Let us remember the wisdom of Wayne Dyer, who so poignantly reflected our journey when he said, “When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” This quote captures the heart of our mission – to relish the journey of life, to find joy in the unfolding of each moment, and to be present for every beat of the dance. The Invitation for Heart-Centered Exploration As we journey together through the landscapes of the soul, I extend to you an open invitation to embrace the power of curiosity and the delight of play. Allow them to be your guides as you uncover the layers of your being, as you navigate the intricacies of your inner world, and as you express the vibrant colors of your spirit. In a space where laughter is the echo of our steps, where wonder is the light that illuminates our path, and where every heartbeat is a drumbeat to which we move, your soul’s mission becomes a playground of infinite discovery. So, dear traveler, if your heart seeks a life that resonates with purpose, passion, and playful exploration, step forward. Cast aside the chains of judgment, welcome the lightness of curiosity, and let the music of playfulness lead you into the dance of a lifetime. With an open heart and a smile upon my lips, Abigail Bruce

This meditation is very simple: Breathe in through the nose Image drawing bright white light into your body Fill your lungs completely Imagine that white light is filling your body completely Imagine your anxiety and negative thoughts are a darkness Push it all together into a black mass and exhale it out through your mouth Empty your lungs completely Keep going until all the black is gone and your entire body is filled with white light. Relationship Coaching by Abigail Bruce: Expert guidance to enhance your relationships and foster personal growth.

AUTHENTICITY AND LIFE LEARNING

Authenticity is not just a buzzword; it’s a profound journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Before one can embody authenticity, a crucial step is understanding the core essence of oneself. It goes beyond the superficial layers, requiring a deep dive into recognizing one’s intrinsic worth. Embracing authenticity means acknowledging that you are more than just a physical entity; you are a radiant soul with a purpose. This journey involves regular introspection, aligning actions with values, and tapping into core strengths or virtues. Authenticity thrives on the fuel of genuine passion — that electric current of curiosity that propels you to express yourself freely and embrace the unknown with enthusiasm. It’s about living life to the fullest, unburdened by fear, and fueled by the desire to experience all that existence has to offer. In my personal journey towards authenticity, I’ve been fortunate to have diverse and profound teachers – not just humans, but also animals, nature, spirits, and the elements. Recognizing the wisdom embedded in these varied sources has made me a humble student, embracing the ethos that learning is a lifelong endeavor. Acknowledging the wealth of knowledge acquired through experiences and training, I’ve come to understand that genuine expertise lies not only in what one knows but also in the ability to admit when there’s a gap in knowledge. I happily confess when I don’t have all the answers, promising to return with more information, clarity, or guidance. This transparency not only fosters humility but also reinforces the commitment to truth and that we are human, always evolving our consciousness. Sharing the lessons learned along my path and the experiences traversed becomes a way of reciprocating the teachings received. However, the journey of authenticity doesn’t end with becoming a teacher; it transforms into a perpetual role of a traveling scholar through life. Remaining open to new insights, evolving with each experience, and embracing the unknown with curiosity defines this ongoing expedition of self-discovery. In the words of Socrates, “I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.” This realization encapsulates the essence of authenticity – a continuous exploration where wisdom is found not just in what we know but in our humility to acknowledge the vast expanse of the unknown.
